Guests of the Best Western Yosemite Way Station in Mariposa are invited to the town’s Cajun Party and Costume Ball Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Stomper’s Hall (SR 49S – north of Ben Hur Road) in Bootjack. The family event includes live Dixieland Jazz, wild costumes, a costume contest and family games. Dinner includes shrimp creole Louisiana, good luck black-eyed peas, okra à la bayou, chocolate and classic southern pecan pie, pecan praline ice cream, and Creole coffee… all from scratch and all authentic.This is a down-home event with doors opening at 6 p.m. and dinner served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by Mariposa’s democratic club, this event is politics-free and family oriented.
